Job details:
Caritas Arua, in cooperation with Cordaid, is preparing a humanitarian response in the settlements in West Nile, focusing on supporting the refugees and host communities in a selected area. The programme will target the sectors of Food Security and WASH, while mainstreaming Protection. For that purpose, additional technical capacity is required. Caritas is therefore currently seeking to recruit a number of highly qualified professionals for the below three positions. All three report directly to the Humanitarian Programme Manager.

  • Profound English skills
  • Profound computer skills
  • Driver’s license
  • Flexibility to perform different tasks and outside office hours
  • Able to work under pressure, not a 9-5 mentality
Administration/ Finance Officer,based in Kampala with frequent field visits to Arua.
Responsibilities: monitoring budgets, procurement, financial management, project administration, payments, cash flow, accounting for the whole programme.
Qualifications and experience: bachelor degree in finance or other relevant field, minimum 5 years of experience as admin/finance officer, being responsible for the financial administration, accounting, financial planning and management, procurement, financial reporting and budget control. Computer skills to include working with financial administration system.
