Job Title: International Relations Officer (1 position)
Level: 4
Department: Office of the Managing Director
Reports to: Manager Corporate Relations
Job Purpose
Over see UPL global and foreign business operations and strengthen engagement of the company with other countries as well as the cultural, political and operational challenges of foreign markets and available opportunities.
Key responsibilities
  • Maintain active dialogue between UPL and other stakeholders to assure constant favorable relations.
  • Ensure that UPL complies with agreed upon international Policies and Regulations.
  • Monitor the implementation of UPU World Postal Strategy, AU/PAPU Strategy and EAC/EACD Postal Strategy.
  • Update and maintain UPL's library and ensure that reading materials used by staff are classified and? catalogued to ease reference.
  • Draft organisational Plans for the Section and present to supervisor
  • Participate actively in review of the sectional policies and annual work plans.
  • Coordinate between Finance and Mail Operations ta ascertain the value and deadline For settlement of terminal dues
  • Assist the Manager Corporate Relations in the implementation of National Addressing and Postcode project in Uganda.
  • Support in the organising of international meetings in Uganda in collaboration with UCC and the line Ministry.
  • Provide high standards of customer service delivery.
Required minimum qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in International Relations, Public Relations, Mass Communications or Business Administration.
  • minimum of six years of relevant experience three of which should have been in a similar field from a reputable institution.
