Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub—region. Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response capacity within the organisations.
Oxfam is seeking to recruit qualified persons to join our dynamic, innovative and committed humanitarian response team. Some of these positions are for immediate placement while others are tor potential projects pending confirmation of funding.
Logistics/Administration Officers
To be based in Arua and Lamwo, the primary responsibility of this position is to manage the overall logistics operations with a particular focus on fleet, procurement and adequate stewardship of agency resources (Assets); handle Local procurement activities of the office according to Oxfam procurement regulations. Ensure that there is an approved purchase request for all purchases with valid project/fund numbers dully filled out before any purchase is made. Implement and document Oxfam standard procedures and practices of purchasing, and promote accountability of resources. Supervise the work of the drivers to ensure proper vehicle allocations, tracking of vehicle related costs inclusive of monitoring maintenance/repair/service schedules and fuel. In addition, this role shall facilitate provision of HR, administrative and other support services at location and work with the Field HR Officer and the HR Team in Kampala on staff related matters.
