lntraHealth International ( ) is currently seeking candidates for a new USAID Activity. USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Sen/ices in Eastern Uganda (RHITES-E) will support the Government of Uganda (GoU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 21 districts in Eastern Uganda and 2 in Karamoja. This will be done by strengthening health systems and improving the quality of, access to, and demand for health services with attention to equity and underserved populations. All positions are located in areas therein indicated.

Training Coordinator (Mbale)
The Training Coordinator will oversee all training and QI activities and deliverables for the USAID RHITES-E Activity, under the supervision of the Director, Health Systems Strengthening, and ensure that QI is an integral part of ALL programming to ensure quality service delivery. S/he will also work closely with project staff to ensure successful implementation of training and QI activities at district and site level for improved quality of health care services. This position will maintain collaborative relationships with key partners such as other Health Manpower Development Centre, Regional QI Committees, trainers and mentors.

Requirements: A Master's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, adult education, organizational learning, or a related field. Minimum five years of experience in district management or project work, coordinating training, knowledge management, and/or monitoring and evaluation, health, and/or education projects. Demonstrated experience planning and implementing training courses for adult professionals on topics related to Quality Improvement TB, HIV, Malaria, RMNCH, Nutrition, Family Planning and performance management topics. Experience building organizational capacity in Quality Improvement monitoring, evaluation, and strategic learning preferred.
