THETA-Uganda is a registered national non- governmental organization dedicated to improving the health of Ugandans by promoting collaboration between the Tradition and biomedical health Systems. THETA-Uganda has been at the forefront of fighting HIV and AIDs.is in Uganda working at both the National, District and Community level. THETA's Mission is to improve health of the most vulnerable members of society by promoting health and preventing disease through capacity building, advocacy and research in partnership with traditional and biomedical health care systems and communities.
THETA -Uganda in collaboration with World Education inc. / Bantwana iWEl/Bi the financial support from USAID are implementing a BETTER OUTCOMES PROJECT for Children and Youth in Eastern and Northern Uganda. The purpose of the project is to improve access to comprehensive services across the continuum of HIV care and to help vulnerable children and care givers prevent and respond to HIV, violence and other adversities that impact child wellbeing in Northern Uganda, including the District of Lira, Dokolo, and Kole. Post: Project Manager
Reports to: Community Health Systems Strengthening Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social sciences or Business Administration
Minimum Experience:
At least 5 years relevant work experience, demonstrated experience in NGO work, project management and child protection issues. Experience with US Government funded projects will be an added advantage.
Workstation: Lira district
Terms of Service: 1 Year-renewable subject to performance and availability of funding.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Take lead in planning, budgeting, implementation and reporting of project results.
  •  Supervise District project coordinators and other technical staff
  •  Initiate and maintain partnerships and linkages with other key project stake holders
  • Review project implementation as necessary to adapt to changes in work & external environment
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for directly supervised staff.
  •  Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
