IBL Ltd, one of the largest business groups in Mauritius with powerful brands, exciting products and a network of businesses, is seeking to recruit in view of expansion, an experienced and high caliber professional for the position of Regional Business Development Executive. The main objective for IBL to create this position, based in the future regional office of the Group in Nairobi, Kenya, is to develop and execute the strategy of the Group in East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Head of Business Development, the incumbent will be required to:
  •  identify potential business partners that fit the Group’s strategy and develop relationships with key targets, and relationships to create awareness and visibility for IBL and its various businesses;
  • Pursue, contact and participate in negotiations with potential business partners;
  • Work with key Head Office business sponsors and support services to drive business plan and projects;
  • Define and prioritize business projects and opportunities through constant interface with senior management;
  • Develop business value propositions and present business cases and execution plans to IBL Senior Management after ensuring key hurdle rates are met and exhaustive risk assessment is conducted.
Qualifications & Experience
  •  A graduate/post graduate degree in Business Management/Strategy and solid working experience in a senior level role;
  • international experience and familiar with East Africa Community (EAC);
  • Ability to be the IBL ambassador in East Africa; ‘
  • 7 - 10 years of solid track record in business development at Senior level;
  • Experience in IBL sectors working environment would be an advantage;
  •  Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions would be a strong asset.
