    Protection: By protecting SolarNow from risky suppliers, difficult supplier terms and lack of stock of products you ensure customer satisfaction and a sustainable business.
  • Quality: By ensuring quality control with our suppliers we ensure quality products at SolarNow enabling satisfied customers and increased sales
  • Sales: Ensuring accurate ordering - on time and correct paperwork, you enable stock of all products available to meet sales demand as per forecast

  • Activities: You communicate with suppliers along different stages of supplier management and product sourcing to ensure quality stock at SolarNow
  • Finances: You prepare orders to quotes provided by suppliers and as per forecast and payment overview for manager sign off
  • HR: You suggest and act on your own Personal Development Plan.
  • SAS: You have access to a computer and a personal access right to SAS.
Your tasks are described in detail in your Desk & Staff Manuals (process, policy & skills). Note the requirement to come prepared to the weekly (team) meeting.
  • Sourcing: Local Supplier Identification: You find and review potential suppliers of stock items to be bought locally to ensure quality products from suppliers under good terms, e.g. Credit. You present your review in a structured report to enable effective decision making.
  • Order Management: Ordering Placing (Local and International): You get quotes from suppliers for orders, based on the forecast, and ensure accurate paperwork to place orders within a risk free sourcing environment Order Inspection, Production and Shipping: You work with the supplier and chosen shipping agents to ensure no delays and correct paperwork during production, inspection and shipping. You present your review of shipping in a structured report to enable effective decision making.
  • Reporting: You prepare your weekly report on time to enable accurate tracking of your work and the sourcing team
The potential candidates we are looking for must have the following requirements:
Academic Qualifications.
Must have a degree or diploma in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management OR Business Administration.
CIPS is an added advantage.
Additional Skills and Requirements.

  • Good and consistent performance record.
  • Atleast one year's experience in procurement working in a reputable organisation.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about work.
  • Pay keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication & reporting skills.
  • Team player / People Management skills.
  • Computer literacy. ie Word & Excel.
