Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and North America
Role Position: Data Manager
01 Position, Kampala
Reporting to the Research Manager & M & E Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting researchers in Data collection. analysis & interpretation in order to guide Baylor Uganda Leadership in making better strategic decisions & informed research findings.

Overall responsibilities: Facilitate Researchers in designing study data collection tools & pre-testing the tools to establish their reliability and validity, Design entry screens in appropriate software as per researchers interest and monitor the timely data entry process, generate data cleaning and validation reports and give feedback to data clerks, develop & routinely update data management standard operating procedures, develop quantitative data analyses plans, analyse & interpret quantitative data, Training staff in formulating data collection tools, data collection, Data Analysis & interpretation, Develop & maintain a competent 8t motivated study Data team, Develop & monitor the implementation of the work plan, procurement plan & balance score card for the data unit, Enter Data into the MEEPP online system for progress reports.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
  • A Degree in Statistics (Demography of equivalent with formal qualifications in Monitoring & Evaluation)
  • The candidate must have at least two (2) years’ experience in Log frame Approach planning, monitoring & Evaluation, application for Qualitative M & E methods with a reputable organization
