JOB TITLE: Community Services & OVC Project Officer
REPORTING T0 : Regional Project Manager
DUTY STATION: Rwenzori Regional Office

Major Function:
This position will provides technical oversight, operational coordination and management including; planning implementation, capacity enhancement, monitoring/evaluation and reporting to delivery of high quality OVC care and support services in Rwenzori Region
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Lead implementation of OVC activities in all supported districts and communities
  • Oversee achievement of OVC performance targets in line with technical standards best practices and donor guidelines.
  • Oversee screening and enrolment of vulnerable children into the OVC program based on the vulnerability index
  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing OVC access to education and life SKINS
  • Support Differentiated Service models in the communities supported
  • Deliver economic strengthening initiatives to the critically vulnerable OVC households
  • Ensure high quality reporting of OVC activities through national information management system
  • Strengthen provision of high quality health care packages for OVCs and their households
  • Support OVC case management and beneficiary assessments to track progress towards graduation
Education, Key Competencies and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences or any other related field
  • A postgraduate training in project planning and management Will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in designing, implementing and managing OVC programs in HIV setting.
  • Experience in implementing donor-funded projects
  • Familiar with OVC programming in Uganda
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)
