Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works to prevent violent conflict and build safer lives. We work with civil society, governments and international organisations to encourage and support effective policies and practices through advocacy, research and policy development, and through supporting the actions of others.
We have been working in Africa since 1997, with a primary focus upon East Africa and the Horn region. We have well-established programmes in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Somalia/land and our headquarters are in London.

Saferworld is a growing and ambitious organisation with a clear vision and strategy for our future development. We are currently recruiting for a Grants Manger to manage the compliance process of Saferworld’s Sudan’s grants, including systems, processes and workflows are in place and delivering high quality and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will require, proven experience of project and budget management (e.g. project planning, grant management, compiling and monitoring budgets, monitoring and evaluation, narrative and financial reporting), preferably in an INGO setting, experience in developing and maintaining systematic and transparent records in order to keep track of protects and for accountability and auditing, experience of working in an INGO that has a commitment to partnership or works with partners, experience of donor compliance.
