Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) (pride) is the Microfinance deposit taking institution in Uganda with 34 networked branches and 8 contact offices country wide , an equal opportunity employer ,regulated by bank of Uganda under the MDI Act, 2003 Pride is now looking for young dynamic and energetic individuals to fill the following position


The Human Resource Officer will be reporting to the Human Capital
Manager- System and will be based at Head Office.
He/ she will be expected to provide HR Service including recruitment, performance management. Leave administration and maintenance of Human Capital registry among others. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Staff recruitment including obtaining job requirements for approval and advertising as per the Pride policies, verifying applications, shortlisting and facilitating the interview process
  • maintaining an updated database for all in terms and ensuring that all in terms submit reports to the HCM department and Branch Managers at the end of their internship program
  • provide support to the induction process and other training programs in the organization
  • participate in the man power planning
  • participate in the management of the staff records including updating personal files establishing a staff database for purpose s of tracking personal data, career development skills inventory and human resource planning.
  • Assist in the leave administration process of Pride through processing of staff leave requests. Updating inventory of all staff leave application forms and ensure clearances and approvals are obtained.
  • Participate in the performance management process through distribution of appraisal forms to all staff and receiving as well as compiling results for the final appraisal report.
  • Provide information on HR related matters and respond to employee queries.
  • Register. file and safe keep all documents and correspondences addressed to or from the Human Capital management department
  • Prepare administrative notifications/letters for internal transfers, promotions salary adjustments, salary reviews etc.
  • assist in all other HR related activities
Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management/social sciences SWASA, and Industrial & Organizational Psychology or in any other relevant/related field
  • Should possess 2 Principal passes at A Level and credits and /or passes in Mains and English at O level.
