Total E&P Uganda is leading the development activities towards oil production in the Tilenga project area within the Albertine Region and now seeks to fill the following positions;
SOCIAL AFFAIRS
Land Coordinator: Req-12293BR
 
The position is based in Kampala with regular visits to the field

Main Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for the following; actively support to handle the management and execution of the land acquisition and resettlement process. Undertake all requirements for the planning and implementation phases of the Resettlement Action Plans [RAPs]. Be responsible for preparation of necessary documentation required for the management of the land acquisition, resettlement and livelihood restoration process. Manage the Contractual activities of the Resettlement Action Plans and Livelihood Restoration Plans.
Qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Environment, Sustainable Development or related field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in Environment/social position in developmental project
  • Experience in oil and gas industry and mining an added advantage
  • Knowledge of the IFC Standards and associated environmental and Social requirements
  • Clear understanding of Resettlement Action plans
  • Experience in conflict resolution and Grievance Management
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory standards on Land management in Uganda is an added advantage 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Good supervisory and Organizational skills
