Oxfam is seeking to fill the position of Project 0tlicer—Apiculture Youth Skilling to join our dynamic, innovative and committed team. The incumbent will be responsible tor the designing, coordination and implementation of the Youth Skilling Project for refugees and Host Communities in West Nile, Arua District. S/he will support resource mobilization, specifically to help scaling up Youth skilling for refugees and host communities in Uganda, support implementing partners in all aspects ot the project cycle, initiate and lead monitoring, reporting and learning initiatives, and ensure the promotion of gender and women’s rights in all project activities.
A degree in Agriculture Economics, Development Economics, Business administration and any other relevant academic qualification with at least 3 years of practical experience in livelihood programming and Agriculture Value Chain Development or other relevant fields, Knowledge Building Resilience Opportunities with focus on Youth skilling in Fragile Crisis Affected areas is added advantage; understanding of apiculture and forestry, project/program management cycle, participatory appraisal techniques and Rights Based Approach; gender mainstreaming in development projects mainly in livelihoods projects and programs, donor funding and financial and project management skills; Knowledge of food security practices, land rights, DRR and identifying and addressing vulnerability.
