Applications are invited from suitably qualified, knowledgeable and skilled Ugandans to fill the vacancies that exist in the Ministry of Works and Transport Force Account project.

Force Account is a support project towards the development and maintenance of the National Road network in Uganda. It is an approach by the Ministry of Works and Transport to ensure cheaper, faster and effective way of developing Road network in Uganda.

Applicants should be willing to work in any part of the country by normal posting instruction.

Title: 2 Surveying Assistants
Age: 23 to 55
Scale/Salary: FA7
Reports To: Civil/Mechanical Foreman

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have an Ordinary Diploma in Land surveying or cartography or aerial sun/eying from a recognized University or Institution;
  • Experience of 2 years is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of computer applications is an added Advantage
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Investigate title surveys involved in composition of the road reserve;
  • Carry out route surveys to provide data for the required design and setting out road works;
  • Survey and investigate boundary disputes, involved on works, prepared to the required standards;
  • Collect, process and supply all relevant data to enable the civil engineers evaluate and effect their proposals on roads;
  • Carry out cadastral surveys mainly investigating title surveys;
  • Draw bills of quantities on a road;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisors.
