About SSG
In 2014, we founded Sanitation Solutions Group ( SSG ) a market- based sanitation enterprise with an objective to provide affordable sanitation products and services to households and communities in Uganda. To achieve this, we focus on offering clean emptying services to sanitation facilities, majorly pit latrines and septic tanks. We are a team of 26 and have served over 4000 customers in the past 4 years.

The role
As we expand, we are looking for exceptional staff to join our Kampala team. ln this role, you will be required to handle prospective customers, explain our service, and guide clients through the order process. We are seeking a candidate who is persuasive, energetic, and ready to go the extra mile to ensure customer on boarding and satisfaction. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, results-driven and effective at working with clients from different backgrounds.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Facilitate and initiate conversations with prospective leads
  • Schedule appointments and follow up on leads and current customers
  • Answer all lead and customer questions accurately
  • Understand company pricing structures when negotiating with clients and offer most competitive prices
  • Inform leads and customers of current promotions and discounts
  • Maintain positive business and customer relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime value
  • Develop strategies for more effective sales, both individually and as part of the sales team
  • Source and work to attain customer referrals
  • Track all sales appointments, customer complaints status reports thoroughly for management review
  • Meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Ensure that there is a high conversion of customer leads to sales
  • Self-improve continuously by way oi experience and manager feedback

We are looking for an exceptional leader and executer who appreciates the work we do and shares in our vision and drive. The candidate should be able to build the business by acquiring new customers, identifying prospects and maintaining relationships with all clients. Top candidates will typically have the following:
  • Bachelor‘s degree preferred, relevant experience in delivering sales targets in the informal sector
  • Ability to identify and innovate new sales strategies to grow company sales and customer base impeccable customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven
  • Aptitude for persuasion and negotiation
  • Proven track record in sales environment
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Ability to effectively interface with clients and individuals at all levels and backgrounds in the organization
  • Utmost professional behavior and integrity that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
  • Organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while working under pressure
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Compensation
We offer a competitive package which includes base salary, a performance bonus and health insurance. Performance bonuses would be tied to meeting sales targets discussed
