Main Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for the following: In charge of GIS data management for Tilenga and East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EAEOP) Uganda, centralizing all GIS information. Conducting their work in Compliance with the Company's IT security principles, procedures, International Standards 8: Recommendations. Providing reliable data and map editions required by different users within Tilenga and EACOP Uganda, TEP Uganda and Total Headquarters. Proving the upstream and midstream survey contractors with existing GIS data Sets as required while ensuring the information meets terms of use by external contractors. Validating the correctness of geo-date and providing reliable data, leading and developing a communication and data exchange with other GIS teams at Total E&P. executing all types of geodetic checks, transformations and surface calculations. Participating in the developing and ensuring proper implementation of operational Web GIS applications in both EACUP and TEP Uganda and ensuring its administration. Establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with Partners, Government Authorities and H0 for obtaining and exchanging of GIS information considering confidentiality at the same time

Qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences (or equivalent). Masters will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in GIS using the ArcGIS Tool.
  • Excellent geographical data Management skills ‘
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft excel
