Joy for Children-Uganda ( JFCU ) is a non-profi t children’s rights organization established in 2005 to respond to the plight of vulnerable children in Uganda. Dedicated to working with children, families and communities to end injustice to children. The organization has its head offi ce in Kampala, fi eld offi ces in Kabarole district and another fi eld offi ce to be established in Lango sub region . JFCU also hosts and coordinates Girls Not Brides Uganda, a National Alliance to End Child Marriage with over 80 NGOs in the different parts of Uganda to end child marriage.

We are committed to protection of children and the applicants that have a high track record of child protection will be considered.

JFCU will be implementing a three -year project on mitigating social risks associated with Gender –Based Violence (GBV) and Violence against Children (VAC) in the districts of Lira, Oyam, Kole and Dokolo. We now seek to recruit suitable individuals for the following position to be based in Lira district:

Qualification and Experience
Master’s Degree or above in Social Sciences related course from a recognised Institution. Post-graduate training in project planning and Management of Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage. At least 8 years’ experience in leading and managing similar community development projects is a must. Extensive knowledge GBV and VAC and legal and cultural issues in Uganda is mandatory used in the Lango Cluster along NERAMP.
