JOB DETAILS:
Established in 1988, the MRC/ UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit is an internationally recognized Center of excellence for research on HIV infection and related diseases, contributing knowledge on the evolving epidemic, the evaluation of innovative health care options, treatment and prevention, and the development of health policy and practice in Africa and worldwide. The Unit's head offices are located at the Uganda Virus Research institute- Entebbe Campus, and the main research activities in Masaka, Kalungu, Kampala and Wakiso districts, including the peri-urban areas of Entebbe. The Unit is now seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals to fill the following position;

Post: 2 Nursing Officers
Reporting to: Project Leader

The main responsibility of the post holder will be to support the project leader and site study team to coordinate study activities required for video development, health education and sample draws.

Some Key Responsibilities:
1. To oversee sample collection and assist clinical staff during clinical procedures including blood draws, BF’ measurement among others. 2. To administer study information and obtain informed consent. 3. To assist in organizing ANC clinic flow in liaison with the site staff. 4. To assist the project leader in coordinating study activities. 5. To liaise with the facility staff on Health Education. 6. To track supplies/consumables for the study sites. 7.
