Pader-Abim Community Multi-purpose Electric Cooperative Society Limited ( PACMECS ) is an Electric Cooperative Society tomred and registered on the 18th July 2008 under the Cooperative Societies ACT CAP 112, by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies with Reg No: 8729IRCS and membership of 1,400 members who paid at least two shares as per the society's Bye-laws. The society was licensed to any on the business ct concessionary electricity distribution and to provide access to reliable and affordable energy sources especially electricity to the underserved rural areas, small scale enterprises (SSEQ) and institutions in the districts of Pader and Abim. Currently the society distributes electricity to seven districts of Pader, Agago, Abim, Kitgum, Lamwo, Omoro and Part of Lira Districts. The society has eight sub-offices for revenue and operational functions in these districts.

Job Position: 3 Accounts Assistants
Duty Station: PACMECS Offices.
Reports to: Finance and Administration Officer.
Employment Type: Full Time

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to record and prepare reports, prepare deposits and reconcile bank accounts bealing with receivables and payables accounting, daily transactions on sales of energy units to customers and any others that may be assigned.

  • Prepare and verify daily sales reports
  • Respond to customers queries and complains.
  • Prepare daily deposits weekly and Monthly sales receipts
  • Communicate with Finance and Administration Officer, General Managers and others in the systems to solve problems.
  • Prepare for authorization payment requisitions and payment vouchers.
  • Compile monthly reports
  • Investigate and collect cash from customers and bank it immediately.
  • Maintain resumed check account
  • Any others that may he assigned by your supervisor.
  • A minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration-Accounting option from an accredited institution or University/ CPA Level ll will be of an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Sanplat System, QuickBocks and Advanced Microsoft Excel is a plus
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Dynamic and result oriented individual
