RTI International is supporting education development around the world by strengthening education policy, management and practice to achieve measurable improvement in teaching and learning. From our well- established reputation in education system strengthening, to innovative work in early grade assessment and learning, RTI is improving education quality, relevance and efficiency through implementation of projects funded by USAID, DFID and other donors and clients. Applications are being accepted for an anticipated USAID-funded Education program in Uganda. The anticipated integrated activity will support the broad development objectives of enhancing the quality of targeted services in child development, basic education and youth development; and strengthening systems in the child protection/social welfare, education and youth engagement sectors to support and sustain the acceleration of inclusive development in Uganda.
Post: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor
Responsible for establishing and managing the project’s overall M&E system, tracking all progress made towards meeting program contract results, indicators, and targets, including impacts on access, retention, reading outcomes, community engagement, gender, and disability- inclusive measures, ensuring that they are being consistently and systematically tracked and reported.

Minimum Qualitications: Master’s degree in international development, education, public administration or related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in similar intervention activities, including education programming, and experience managing complex USAID-funded development activities in complex environments. Experience in Uganda is strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership, effective organizational development, partnership-building, managerial, team-building and communication skills. Demonstrated experience in educational policy, planning, curriculum development and teacher professional development. Proven ability to coordinate with government stakeholders, as well as non-governmental organizations, in Uganda. At least 5 years’ experience in senior management roles overseeing geographically-disbursed teams
