TETRA TECH International Services ( is recruiting highly qualified candidates for the USAID-funded Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity. The project works to increase household access to sanitation and water services and improve health through hygiene behavior change campaigns in homes, schools and health facilities in up to 25 districts in Uganda. The ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements. Applicants with previous USAID experience are encouraged to apply.
Deputy Chief of Party, Program (DCOP Program)
• A Master’s degree-level or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Public Health Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of managerial and operational experience in international development focusing in WASH, with at least four years of overseas experience overseeing project implementation;
• Experience with USAID projects, preferably managing large (+$10M) USAID-funded WASH contracts in East Africa.
• Experience in Uganda preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more of the areas of Market Based Sanitation, CLTS, rural water supply, construction, and WASH governance.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills to manage a team of talented Ugandan technical specialists and productively interact with a wide range governmental and non-governmental partners and organizational structures
• This position is open to Ugandan, U.S. and Third Country nationals
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills in the English language
