Self Help Africa (SHA) is an International Non-Governmental Organisation implementing rural development, sustainable food and livelihoods security programmes in nine countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. SHA's vision is an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa with a mission to support sustainable livelihoods for Uganda’s smallholder farmers. SHA has been working in Uganda for close to 20 years.
SHA in partnership with UN World Food Programme (WFP) and four District Local Governments (DLGs) are implementing the Agriculture and Market Support (AMS) project in Masindi, Kiryandongo, Omoro and Adjumani Districts.
The projects overall objective is to contribute to resilient and diversified livelihoods for smallholder farmers, especially women. SHA urgently seeks to recruit suitable candidates to till the positions of Agribusiness Project Manager and Project Officer for the AMS Project.
Post: Project Officer- Adjumani
Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager (PM), the Project Oļ¬icer is responsible icr facilitating the planning and implementation, monitoring and reporting of project activities directly with beneficiaries and other stakeholders. This includes technical backstopping and other support to beneficiary individuals, producer organisations, associations and other stakeholders like local CBOs/NGOs and private sector players, who are working with project beneficiaries..

Key areas of responsibilities include:
• Facilitate activity planning and implementation of plans with beneficiaries;
• Liaison and linkage with government officials, local businesses, CBOs and other service providers within the project area;
• Supporting institutional and business development tor’ smallholder farmers and/or farmer groups;
• Support the integration of women and other marginalised groups in project activities
• Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
