HEALTH PROGRAM The health program in Uganda began in 2008 to ensure that people living in poverty can access quality & affordable health services. The goal of the projects is to lower mobility and mortality among children under five from diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia and malaria: improve maternal health: improve basic essential healthcare services in rural areas: and improve the nutritional status of small holder families with a focus on pregnant women, children under five and adolescent girls. Location: Country Office -Nsambya (with 50% field s travel to West Nile).

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide technical and administrative support to the field teams during the project implementation period.
• Provide monthly and progressive reports and updates to the Program Manager on project implementation
• Provide support supervision to the field teams during project implementation.
• Take lead in all government and stakeholder related engagements.
Others: (Safeguarding)
• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the project's goals on safeguarding implementation.
• Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Public Health or related field with clinical background, Masters in public health is added advantage.
• 2-3 years' experience in implementing TB programs in the government sector & community health. Must have strong technical knowledge of the TB programming and reporting in the Ugandan context. Good supervision and communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Good report writing & computer knowledge (Microsoft package) skills
