The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF with support of the Global Environmental Facility_(GEF), the UNDP and FAO is implementing a project - "Fostering Sustainability and Resilience for Food Security in Karamoja sub-region"
The project is planned to contribute to enhancing long-term environmental sustainability and resilience of food production systems in the Karamoja Sub-Region. The 5 year project is being implemented in five districts of Mo- roto, Kotido, Nakapiripirit, Kaabong, Karenga and Nabilatuk in the Karamoja sub-region, head office based in Moroto.
MAAIF wishes to recruit staff and specialists to support project implementation, Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the various position.

Position Number: 1
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Position Duration: Two years (Renewable accordance to satisfactory performance)

Job Summary: To support the implementation of the project, and adoption of Sustainable Land Management and INRM practices and approaches including pastoral/ rangeland management, climate smart agriculture, catchment /watershed management, agro~ecological approaches.
