Job summary:
The Construction Officer's primary responsibility is to coordinate and supervise infrastructure improvement in schools and health facilities in Kyangwali refugee Settlement, liaise with District and partners in the Shelter Working Groups and provide construction expertise and guidance to other CARE staff, CARE contractors and Community Based Facilitators in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. The Construction Officer is responsible for ensuring technical quality of the constructions at field level. S/he will be responsible for providing technical advice, monitoring and Supervision for contractors during, and after constructions.
S/he will be supervising and directly working with the contractors, other CARE staff and humanitarian agencies at settlement level to ensure that the objectives oi the project are achieved. S/he will work together with the district and other agencies teams to ensure that project activities at field level are implemented in the most efiective and efficient way.
